Sciton BBL™ skin rejuvenation uses customizable flash lamp technology and a broad range of wavelengths to allow for targeted treatment of a variety of skin concerns. BroadBand Light (BBL) Therapy is an effective nonsurgical photofacial treatment that addresses a multitude of changes in the skin due to aging, sun damage and other environmental factors.

BBL uses the power of intense pulsed light (IPL) to provide optimal results in skin rejuvenation. If you have sun damage, visible facial veins and/or uneven pigmentation, Sciton BBL™ skin rejuvenation may be right for you.

Men and women of almost any age can be excellent candidates for BBL skin rejuvenation. Some of the most common reasons to consider BBL skin rejuvenation include:

  • Acne scarring

  • Sun damage

  • Pigmented Lesions, such as freckles and age spots

  • Vascular lesions

  • Skin tightening

Our highly-trained, certified providers will use the handheld device to glide across your skin. Unlike other intense pulse light (IPL) therapies, Sciton’s BBL skin rejuvenation can provide faster treatment since it is capable of treating a larger area size with higher pulse repetitions. Our patients are provided protective eyewear during the course of treatment.

Depending on your skin concerns, your provider can adjust the wavelength settings and use different adapters to treat different areas as well as a varying degree of needs including sun spots, redness, vascular lesions, and blemishes.

During treatment, the BBL thermal energy heats the skin’s outer layers. This photothermal energy is then absorbed into the skin, causing the hyperpigmented lesions and redness to gradually fade away while boosting collagen production. BBL’s added cooling technology helps to minimize any discomfort during treatment.
